Elton Morris of Powhatan County turned 101 years old on June 5, 2020. He said, "It has been a life long lived and gives God the glory and praise for it".

On May 21, 2022, Karis Yvonne Gorham graduated from Morgan State University, School of Business and Management, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Karis is the daughter of Marcus and Kamika Gorham, granddaughter of Deborah Bell-Fedimann and the late Cornell Lawrence, Sr., great-granddaughter of the late Velon and Ruth Bell, great-great-granddaughter of George and Nannie Bell, and the great-great-great-granddaughter of Tyler and Ellen Bell.
